Whether you’re 20 or 50, flawless skin is likely at the top of your beauty wish list. As nice as it would be to actually mean the phrase coined by Beyonce, “I woke up like this” for many of us, that is simply not the case. Not to say that we awake each morning looking horrible, but let’s face it, looking good every day requires a lot of work. Aside from the skincare rituals of exfoliating, scrubbing and cleaning, we also have to figure out how to cover up those unsightly skin imperfections that just won’t go away.
Though in times past we would have to resort to piling on tons of makeup, the health and beauty industry has afforded us many solutions to covering up or getting rid of those skin imperfections. Below are a few suggestions on how to do this:
Shrink Those Moles
What in the world is that growing on my face? You wake up one day and that cute beauty mark just beneath your lip has now become a decent sized mole that you wish to get rid of. Though you should certainly have the mole evaluated by a dermatologist, if you’ve been told it’s not cancerous there are still options to have it removed. You might consider over the counter mole removal products. When applied on the daily basis, some of these products have been known to help shrink the appearance of moles so that they look more like the sexy beauty mark on the famous Marilyn Monroe’s face than the old growth that your grandma has.
Cover Up Those Blemishes and Acne
Don’t you just hate waking up to find a new blemish or mark on your face? The good news is that there are a few tricks you can try to cover them up. First you want to clean the affected area to ensure the problem doesn’t spread or become worse. Next, grab a few ice cubes and hold them on your face for about ten minutes to reduce the swelling. Finally, using your favorite foundation or tinted moisturizer, apply it to the areas that are blemished or riddled with acne. Using a foundation or concealer that allows the skin to breathe is ideal to prevent the pores from getting clogged and causing more breakouts.
Adios Hyperpigmentation
When the skin produces too much melanin it can cause over pigmentation that show up in the form of dark spots. The best way to deal with this issue would be to invest in some SPF 30 moisturizer for the skin. It should be worn daily for the best results. Then you can apply a full coverage concealer that is easy to layer.
No More Circles Under the Eye
Do you look like you had 2 hours of sleep when you wake up in the morning? Is your face carrying extra “baggage” around the eye area? You’re certainly not alone. The best and most effective solution when it comes to those pesky dark circles and bags under the eye. The age old remedy has always been to apply a slice of cucumber to each of the eyes. Since cucumbers have astringent properties which are great for pulling out any toxins and rejuvenating the skin. Leave them on your face for about 15 minutes and you should be good to go.
Hopefully these remedies will come in handy for you to achieve that flawless skin you’ve been looking for. From moles to acne and dark circles, there is no denying that women go through a lot to look good each day. While trying each of these remedies on your skin, also be sure that you’re following pertinent external practices that include eating a well balanced diet, drinking plenty of water, and using all natural products on the face.
